First post!

This is the first ever post. I'm setting Simone and Petra some homework. For this week, I want you to take a couple of photos of things in your house you like. It takes a while laying out and hyperlinking, so don't take too many and don't spend too long. But do have fun!
I've already done mine as an example, see below.

Amelia's magazine

Looks like some original Clothkits in the Amelia's magazine! Could this really be 2009?

Clothkits catalogues

A few years ago I met Anne and Finn Kennedy the founders of the original Clothkits. They very kindly sent me a few catalogues, which I often look at to recreate that 70's vibe for my illustrations. Clothkits has recently been relaunched by Kay Mawer. She seems to be doing a great job. I really like Jane Foster's graphics for Clothkits, they're a great update of the original designs. And now Anne's daughter Nula also runs a little business called Noolibird, selling ranges for kids bedrooms.

London Print Works

I did a print course at London Print Works a few weeks ago. It was an 5 day introduction to screen printing. I loved every second, and bashed out as many artworks as I could. Here's one. I accidently played around with the hue and saturation on photoshop and got this bright green and blues. The course was taught by a very friendly lady named Dawn Dupree. Take a look at her website if fancy seeing some more print based artworks.

Swallows and Amazons

Arthur Ransome wrote and illustrated his books. I still feel excited about the possibility of setting off on an adventure when I look at them. Usually, I don't get beyond the couch though!

My kitchen

My kitchen window and some old bowls I bought years ago at the jeu de balles flea market in Les Marolles, Brussels.
